ARE YOU READY TO SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR SUMMER CLOTHES?
Well, I am not! If you are with me on this, this post may be of great interest to you. September is this month when we can actually still get away with wearing some of our summer clothes but styling them in a warmer way. I have a couple of items which I bought this summer and I feel like I have not worn them enough. Do you have something like that too? I will show you how to wear those treasures in September.
SO WHAT DO YOU NEED TO STYLE YOUR SUMMER CLOTHES?
tights or fishnet socks
knit top or turtle neck
SUMMER ITEMS THAT WE CAN TAKE TO SEPTEMBER
MAXI FLORAL DRESS
Floras are super trendy so you cannot just give up and store your favourite summer dress. Wear with leather jacket and either ankle boots or high knee leather boots and a shawl. If it gets really cold, wear knit top or turtleneck underneath and tight with ankle boots. Don’t be afraid to mix fabrics!
Sandals do not have no be worn only on bare feet; if you want to be ultra trendy, wear it with tights and a dress or skirt, or socks with trousers. I know this solution is for the brave ones but, trust me, fashion people will understand and salute you for embracing the trendiness.
It may feel wrong to wear white trousers (not necessarily white jeans) when it is colder outside, but it does not have to. I love the idea of wearing light colour clothes when it is cold and grey. Why to add to the misery with our outfit and melt into this grim landscape? White wide-leg pants will look beautiful with simple trench and either sneakers or chunky heeled boots. Add a warm sweater and a shawl you are autumn ready.
A SUMMER BLAZER
I got a white blazer this summer that I wore only once! What I suggest to prolong the lives of our blazers is to layer up. The look I particularly like is; long sleeve top, oversized shirt, blazer and warm wool poncho. This is the way I recently styled my white summer blazer. Instead of the shirt, you can also wear knit turtleneck top.
AN OFF SHOULDER TOP
If you have your beloved off shoulder top do not say goodbye yet. For a day look, pop a knit turtleneck or a shirt or wrap yourself in a beautiful shawl. This look will be fantastic with jeans or wide leg pants!
Jumpsuits are officially my favourite type of apparel as they are so easy to wear! Just pop a jumpsuit and you are done with a great outfit. I have a couple and I am planning on wearing them during autumn. How? They are mostly sleeveless so I will style them with a knit top underneath or open shirt and a leather jacket. Add ankle boots and you will not be cold for sure!
