MIXING SKY BLUE WITH GINGHAM IN MALAGA

Last weekend was not only about celebrating my birthday but also about catching the first rays of real sunshine this winter. Weekend city breaks are perfect to recharge by getting some much needed vitamin D to be able to continue throughout the rest of the winter. This is why it is worth going away even for 2 days to places where the weather is better! Not mentioning the food and wine 🙂

To make the most of the sun, I decided to sport my new favourite combo of sky blue and gingham check pattern accompanied by some silver glaring shades and shoes (on sale now in Dune!), a bright lipstick and a delicate choker necklace in black& silver. This is very much in line with the colour schemes I usually go for: 2 neutrals, 1 non-neutral, pop colour for the accessories or make up, plus some metallic as I love all things skiny. I also added a light tout shopper designed by Vivienne Westwood for the LFWF. The draping on the sweatshirt, puffiness of the sleeves and the frill on the dress are all on the list of 2017 trends. Imagine this sweatshirt without the puffy sleeves and the front draping; it would be just another plain item.  Remember that the style sits in the details so try to either choose pieces which have some interesting detailing or buy a plain design and create your own unique detail!
